Triumph TR7 FHC | Destroyed by Jeremy Clarkson in his Heaven and Hell DVD 2005. | I was still relatively new to the internet in 2004, and this TR7 was my first ebay purchase. The images in the listing had evidently been photoshopped and I innocently accepted the sellers description without question. I bid without viewing first and learned a valuable lesson This turned out to be a tired, well used TR7 and was not half the car I had been expecting...
Nevertheless, it responded well to a thorough cleaning and fettling and I eventually managed to make it presentable.
When the time came to sell I was approached by a film company which had been commissioned to source a yellow TR7 by Jeremy Clarkson. I sent them photographs good ones this time and they sent their driver to pay for the car and collect it.
The next time I saw my TR it was embroiled in some horrific jousting tournament with a Ford Scorpio in Clarksons Heaven and Hell DVD which came out later that year. Both cars meeting their end in a headon collision fireball amid much pyrotechnics
Ironically by then I had replaced the TR7 with a Scorpio N215MFH identical to the other car used in Clarksons jousting contest.
